AVON PERFECT NONSENSE

PITCH WIN

When AVON asked us and the team to launch their new fragrance range Perfect Nonsense, we said yes before even smelling it.

Three routes later, Unexpected Encounters came out on top - a surreal, Gen Z ready world where fragrance notes meet, flirt, clash and collide. Think Pepper bumping into Peach. Chocolate making eyes at Tuberose.

Because when the ingredients are unexpected, the encounters should be too.

Staging
unexpected encounters

To launch AVON’s new perfume range Perfect Nonsense, we tapped into Gen Z’s love of chaos, contrast, and a good live stream.

Our winning platform, Unexpected Encounters, brought the fragrance’s clash of ingredients to life in bold, playful ways - starting with the ultimate TikTok crossover event.

We proposed a 24-hour live stream featuring two brilliantly unexpected icons: Ed Sheeran (of Perfect fame) and Sabrina Carpenter (queen of Nonsense), coming together for a candid, offbeat chat. Surprise guests could drop in, followers tune in, and fragrance samples could be grabbed via the AVON TikTok shop.

Smellfie

Imagine a fragrance testing station that sparks unexpected connections. Snap a shot with a friend or a stranger using one of our Polaroid cameras and take home a memory that’s more than just a photo. Each print doubles as a scent tester, infused with one of the Perfect Nonsense fragrances, making every moment a perfect blend of scent and spontaneity.

Scan the QR code on the back of the print for a voucher to purchase your chosen Perfect Nonsense scent at the online Avon store.

Unexpected sampling
in the bagging area

As part of our Unexpected Encounters platform, we explored ways to bring the fragrance to people in the wild - starting with the supermarket checkout.

We imagined slipping samples of Perfect Nonsense into shoppers’ bags for a little unexpected surprise, then capturing their surprised reactions for AVON’s social channels.

There’s more where that came from…

What’s your Perfect Nonsense?
